Political clubs are nothing new, but two minor parties are linking up to run a joint club to boost their clout. Frank MacKay, the state and Suffolk chairman of the Independence Party, said he and Chuck Pohenka, head of the Working Families Party, will start the club Feb. 4 when the first monthly meeting features Suffolk's two congressman, Republican Felix Grucci and Democrat Steve Israel at Cesare's Restaurant in Sayville. "We know we're not going to agree on everything," said MacKay. "But when the minor parties find common ground and start working together, the major parties are going to have to take note."
